Australian Dance Teacher Kelly Sloan Egan has vast experience of dance spreading over 3 decades. Training in all styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern Lyrical, Modern Contemporary, and Musical Theatre.
Kelly is a qualified international judge for the International Dance Organisation in both Tap and Show Dance. In 2018 she was a judge for the World Tap Dance Championships in Germany.
Teaching is her passion of her career and she has taught many elite dancers across Australia. Kelly has been a Coach for the Australian International Dance Team for the past 5 years and her students have won many international Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for Australia in countries such as Germany, South Africa and Korea.
Kelly has a deep love for tap dance and is well known for her unique choreography in this genre, which has lead to her success internationally. Her choreography in Jazz, Showdance and Lyrical has also had international success winning medals for the Australian Team.
At home in Newcastle NSW, Kelly has owned and operated a successful dance school for the past 17 years creating many champion dancers in all genre. Some of which have starred in the short film ‘Good Luck Girls’ (directed by Michele Aboud), featured in ‘Australian Dance Magazine, become Dance Teachers both in Studios and Educational Schools and others have moved on to have professional careers in Dance and Musical Theatre.
Charlotte travels nation-wide as a dancer/performer, choreographer and teacher. She has trained with Australia’s best, as well as International artists including the (O’Neill Twins - Royal Fam), (Ngavaine Tearea - Royal Fam), (Renee Ritchie – SYTYCD AUS/Tmilly Studios) – (Tokyo Kevin Inouye– USA/Millennium Studios) and (Mollee Gray – SYTYCD USA)
From a young age she has competed nationally and in 2018 ticked off a bucket list opportunity by winning a trip at ‘World Supremacy Battlegrounds’ to represent Australia for the first time at Japan’s largest hip hop competition, Dance Delight.
She has a strong passion for teaching and choreography in all aspects of dance. Some of her commercial highlighted credits include choreography for Aston (@sheisaston)’s official music video of her hit song “OFTEN” and performing for artists ASTON, Chase Atlantic and Briden-Starr.
Dancing for 14 years Kristelle has grown up at her local dance school competing and succeeding in local and nationally ranked competitions.
She has completed RAD ballet exams as well as her HSC receiving a band 6 in dance and exceeded with two call backs nominations. Kristelle completed a year of fulltime training in 2019 at The Next Step Performing Arts where she received a diploma in dance and elite performance. Throughout the year of training Kristelle had the opportunity to dance for Kylie Minogue at Mardi Gras and Australia’s Got Talent grand final performance.
She begun her teaching career in 2016 where she choreographed multiple competition and concert routines. In 2019 Kristelle also completed her Certificate IV in dance teaching and management. With extensive knowledge of Acrobatics, she is a passionate and committed teacher and student who is always willing to learn new things and is always up for a challenge. Kristelle is very excited to be a part of the Sloan’s Dance Academy faculty.
Lexie is an 18 year old professional Tap Dancer
from the Hunter Valley, Australia. With over 16
years of training and performance experience,
she has developed a strong presence both on
stage and in the studio.
Lexie has trained under and worked with
world-renowned artists and choreographers
such as Anthony Morigerato, Sarah Reich,
Cartier Williams, Leo Manzari, Sam Weber,
Leah Silva, Max Pollak, Sean Kaminski, Melissa
Tannus, John Michael Fiumara,
She has also trained with Australia’s leading tap
dance artists such as Thomas Egan and Peta
Anderson. She was a guest performer in
Thomas Egan’s show ‘Two Right Feet'.
Lexie has performed and competed nationally
and internationally, representing Australia at
the prestigious World Dance Championships
in Germany and South Africa, winning
multiple gold and silver medals for Australia.
Lexie has completed studies internationally
with the Tap Music Project at Colburn School
in Los Angeles and residencies at the Orange
County Tap Festival with Anthony Morigerato
and Leo Manzari.
When not performing, she is passionate about
teaching, choreographing and understanding
the history and music of tap dance. Lexie is
committed to pushing the boundaries of this
art form and sharing the joy and rhythm of
movement to her students and around the
world.
