Heading into our 22nd year of dance tuition in the heart of the Hunter, we’re excited to create magic and make more memories in 2025. 

SDA offer classes simply for fun, to meet new friends and exercise. We also train highly competitive and professional dancers who enjoy success in Competitions, Eisteddfods and Examinations both nationally and overseas. Our students win many Championships, Scholarships and Performance Troupe awards and have a 100% pass rate in Examinations. 

The SDA Performance Team represents Australia in the International IDO World Championships. Our students have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for Australia over the years and are ranked amongst the best in the world. 

Kelly Sloan Egan, our director, is a coach for the Australian International Dance Team. As a qualified IDO International Judge in both Tap and Showdance, Kelly was invited to judge at the 2018 World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany.

Conveniently located in Vincent Street Cessnock, we have a fully equipped, air conditioned studio with multiple dance studios complete with mirrors, barres and a separate waiting room with a kitchen. Our staff are fully qualified, ‘Working With Children’ registered and offer expert tuition in each genre, and have a whopping 100 years’ experience between them!
